The Connect Weekend - 26-28 April 2024
Bookings for Saturday have now closed
Friday Evening - everyone's welcome
Whether or not you are booked in, you are welcome to join us in church from 7.30pm for worship and an introduction to the theme for the weekend, then some social time.
Saturday - for those who have booked in
Bookings have now closed for the Saturday. For those booked in, please arrive from 9am for pastries and drinks, the school carpark will be available for the day from 9am. The main programme will begin from 9.30am and we're looking forward to a brilliant day, including three sessions from Sam Ward, UK CEO at The Message Trust, worship and prayer, social time, lunch and dinner at West Kirby School, and a fun evening with the Royal Scottish Country Dancing Society. Please bring your own alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks for the evening social if you wish.
Sunday - everyone's welcome
Whether or not you came on Saturday, everyone's welcome at the 10.30am service which will be for all ages and include different kinds of teaching in the sermon time, something for everyone.
Liz Wilson writes, "After the Family Service on Sunday April 28th we are having a Bring and Share Lunch in the hall. This is always a lovely social activity. We are making it simple by having a cold buffet with food that everyone should enjoy. So that we don’t all bring the same things I will be putting a list of items on a sheet at the back of church that I hope you will be willing to sign up to bringing on the day. If everyone can contribute a little that would be lovely but all are welcome regardless and feel free to bring anything you want. One important reminder is that we have a no nuts policy. The hall will be set up after the social on Saturday night and any help to clear away at the end will be gratefully received"
There will be no 6.15pm service on 28 April
